OKA Precast
Concrete Box Culverts are suitable for use in culvert works. They
are
designed to withstand more severe loading than the
standard culvert pipes and
particularly suitable and more economical to use where the fill over the crown
is less
than 610mm ( 2 f t ). For a standard culvert pipes
having less than 305mm ( 1f t ) of
fill , it is necessary to encase the pipe
in concrete to obtain sufficient strength.OKA Precast Concrete Box Culverts are designed
to withstand direct traffic loads
and can be placed directly under the road surfacing or
pavement level. They are
designed to take more severe loading than
the standard culvert pipes and are
therefore more expensive than pipes for the same
waterway area .
OKA Precast Concrete Box Culvert
are designed as a percast unit for culvert work
and are also suitable for use in the construction of tunnels,
open drains and sumps.
